Andrew's operation

Poor Andrew has a rather sore eye after having one of the plates removed from his face. I'll post a picture of the plate and screws when I get the time - they're quite impressive! In the meantime, here's a lovely picture of him sleeping on the sofa, taking it easy, enjoying having his personal nurse to look after him. Hopefully he's going to take a few days off work to recouperate but we'll see...

Get well soon Andrew!

TV debut!

I've lost count of the number of people who have said to me "there was someone delivering a baby live on TV last week who looked just like you!"... well, to set the record straight, it was me! It was so awful! I'm never going on TV ever again! The woman had already consented to being filmed by City Hospital so I couldn't really do anything about it. Sods law meant that just because it was being filmed, it wasn't going to be a straightforward birth - there was plenty of sweating, pushing and pulling going on, but mum and baby are both doing really well now.

I watched it later that night and felt physically sick! It completely ruined my chinese takeaway!

Sophie's Christening

On Sunday 15th October Sophie Kate was christened, and I was made a Godmother! It was a lovely day, enjoyed by all! Especially by Rebecca and Katie who had a go on the bouncy castle. It was just a shame that Stuart had to chuck them off - apparently a little girl had come inside the house and complained that there were 'two ladies' playing on there and were causing trouble! Shocking! Us? Ladies??

Here's one of Andrew, Rebecca and Sophie - soon after this photo was taken, Andrew received a swift kick from Sophie in a rather 'sensitive' area. There were tears...

We missed Emma and Dan, but toasted their first year in New Zealand! Gran's getting excited about her trip - I'm very jealous! Becks xx
